Whistleblowing channel


The Shrine of Fatima, in compliance with the provisions of the Law 93/2021, published on 20 December, provides a whistleblowing channel, that ensures the due protection of employees, suppliers, volunteers or other persons linked to the activity of the Institution who wish to report infractions committed, being committed or expected to be committed, as well as attempts to conceal them.

To ensure the confidentiality and anonymity, complaints must be made through the communication channels created for this purpose:

  • online form available on intranet;
  • online form available on www.fatima.pt (see below);
  • post: Canal de Denúncias – Rua da Santa Isabel, 360 – 2495-424 Fátima.

Acts or omissions contrary to rules established in European Union laws or to national rules relating to the following areas are considered breaches:

  • Public procurement;
  • Corruption and related infractions;
  • Prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing;
  • Product and service safety and compliance;
  • Transport safety;
  • Protection of the environment;
  • Radiation protection and nuclear safety;
  • Public health;
  • Consumer protection;
  • Protection of privacy and personal data;
  • Security of network and information systems.

Retaliatory act against the whistleblower is forbidden. It is considered a retaliatory act any act or omission, that, directly or indirectly, in a professional context and motivated by the internal or external report or by the public disclosure of the information, unjustifiably causes or may cause pecuniary or non-pecuniary damages to the whistleblower.
