Pilgrimage

Fatima became a meaningful place where we can find the presence of a merciful and beautiful God. The request of Our Lady to build a chapel evokes the permanent construction of the Church through the encounter with God. The pilgrimage to Fatima is the intention of an inner path to meet the beautiful and good God. Each step given towards the Shrine is called to be a step given in the intimacy with the hidden Jesus, deeply loved by the three children of Fatima, and that won’t fail to create intimacy ties capable of converting the pilgrim’s life. The outdoor path of Fatima’s pilgrimage is an invitation to the inner path of pilgrim’s intimacy, that certain of Mary’s company, pilgrim full of grace, urges in the quest for God – Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart (Lk 2,19) – and with a special attention to the brothers – she, woman aware of people’s worries (Jn 2,3). Because to go on a pilgrimage to Fatima is to make a path of renovation: to return to childhood (Mk 10,14-15), by trusting in God, in the innocent maturity of faith, like the first witnesses of the beauty of God in Fatima, Francisco, Jacinta and their cousin Lucia.
