Youth Village of the Shrine of Fatima Has Already Hosted About a Thousand Young PilgrimsThis space offers a dining area, tents for sleeping and free bathrooms and showers. It will be permanently available until 10 August.About a thousand young pilgrims have already taken advantage of the tents and slept in the Youth Village of the Shrine of Fatima, a space located in Park 12 that the Shrine has prepared from scratch for the young people who are on pilgrimage to Fatima in the context of World Youth Day, where they can sleep and eat. The accommodation, available until 10 August, is free and made in a tent, with mattress and access to toilets and showers. Reservations for this space can be made on a first-come, first-served basis, on site, or in advance by calling +351 249 539 600 or sending a message to [email protected]. The dining area, a 750 square metre space available until 15 August, offers free access to Wi-Fi and mobile phone chargers, as well as the opportunity for young pilgrims to purchase snacks at the counter or from vending machines. A hundred metres away, on the edge of Avenida João XXIII, there is also a 25,000 square metre green area where around 1,500 pilgrims can camp.
