 To mark the World Day of the Sick, The Diocesan Service of the Pastoral Ministry of Health of Leiria-Fatima and the Center of Volunteers of Suffering invite all interested parties to participate in the Mass of Thursday February 11, at 16h00, in Little Chapel of Apparitions, at the Shrine of Fatima. The Church invites, since 1993, all her communities to celebrate the World Day of the Sick, first proposed by John Paul II, a few years after the institution of the Pontifical Committee for the Apostolate amongst Health Professionals. 2010 is a special year, because it happens to be the 25th Anniversary of the institution of the Pastoral Ministry of Health. That is why the theme of the message Pope Benedict XVI sent to the entire Church mentions this date and asks that “the Church be at the service of Love for the sick and all those who suffer”. |
