This morning (Nov. 6), at the Shrine of Fatima, during the official Mass of 11h00 in the Basilica, Shrine’s Chaplain Fr. Clemente Dotti prayed for the fatal victims of yesterday night’s accident in Highway 23, in the District of Castelo Branco, Portugal.
On behalf of the Shrine of Fatima, the Chaplain expressed the solidarity of the institution and its employees with all the people affected by this accident and evoked “the suffering and sorrow of the victims and their families”.
 Fr. Dotti said that the group had been yesterday in the Shrine of Fatima and prayed that “Our Lady grant consolation to those suffering and those mourning for the dead”.
To the approximately thousand participants in this daily Mass, today concelebrated by another six priests, Fr. Dotti asked: “Today, during this pilgrimage of yours to Fatima, please pray for these people, who are living difficult moments”.
According to the news, 15 people died in the accident.
The group of 37 older people, students at Senior University, in Castelo Branco, was on their way back home, in the evening, after a visit to Fatima and Nazaré.
