President of Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace presides over September Pilgrimage
On September 12/13 Fatima receives the International Anniversary Pilgrimage commemorating the fifth apparition of Our Lady on September 13, 1917.
The theme of this year’s pilgrimage is: “Don’t worry about tomorrow” (Mt 6, 34).
This time of faith and prayer will be presided over by His Eminence Peter Kodwo Appiah Cardinal Turkson, a native of Gana. Cardinal Turkson is the President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, an organ of the Roman Curia, whose mission is to promote justice and peace in the world in accord with the Gospel and the Church’s Social Doctrine.
On September 13, the Votive Mass of Virgin St. Mary, Mother of Divine Providence, will be celebrated.
