With the date of August 27, 2015, the Shrine of Fatima received a communication from His Beatitude Patriarch Gregorios III of Damascus, Syria, informing that, because the conditions in Damascus were aggravated, he does not consider opportune and convenient the visit of the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima to that diocese. So he asks for delaying the visit to a later and more favorable date.
As the Shrine of Fatima has announced to the media, on August 12, that this visit of the Pilgrim Image to Damascus was scheduled for 7 to 9 September, 2015, makes now known its postponement.
