The Pilgrimage of the African Communities to Fatima, organized by the Chaplaincy for Africans, will be held on August 7.
This year’s pilgrimage has as motto: “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for the African Continent!”
Fr. Dex-Steve Goyeko, from the organizing committee, explains: “We want this Pilgrimage to be a Thanksgiving to God and Mary, in this pastoral year. We particularly recall, this year, the political life of the African Continent, so that, by the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima, may there be a policy of peace and union for this Continent”.
In the program, the celebration of Mass at 12h30, in Most Holy Trinity Church, concelebrated by Bishop José Camnate, of Bissau, and Bishop Pedro Zili, of Bafatá, Diocese of Guinea-Bissau, stands out.
