Fatima Shrine widens the Musical Creative Workshops
The IV Edition will be open to children aged of 4 months old.
Babies at 4 months of age can now participate in the Musical Creative Workshops (Oficinas Musicais Criativas – OMC), an initiative promoted and organized by the Shrine of Fatima. It is the IV edition of an artistic project, experienced from the faith, in which babies and toddlers can participate.
The Workshops of this year involves babies and children from 4 months to 14 years old, who are going to participate in different times.
The first moment of the 2016 workshops, which constitutes the big new moment of this exceptional training proposal in the Shrine, will happen on the 1st of April and it is for the youngest, who must come with one or two adults for the achievement of the activity, always in the Paul VI Pastoral Centre.
The second moment will happen in July, as usual, and the groups will be divided in two shifts: from 14th to 17th of July (for children aged from 8 to 10 years old) and from 21st to 24th of July (for 11 to 14 years old).
The Workshops try to connect reading, theatre, dance and painting activities to the musical component. Here, children can contact in an informal way and learn in a ludic way the contents of the Message of Fatima in an environment of great spirituality.
Each session of the first moment, of 45 minutes long, for the youngest, is led by Helena Brites and Tania Lhera, and can comprises up to 12 children.
On the 1st of April, from 09h30 to 10h15, the first session takes place for the oldest group (children from 6 to 7 years old); then the smallest group with babies from 4 to 11 months and after the group from 12 to 18 months, from 10h45 to 11h30 and from 11h45 to 12h30, respectively.
In the afternoon, a new session starts at 14h30 for the five-year-old children; at 15h30 a group for the four-year-old children and one hour after the three-year-old children.

The Shrine of Fatima offers the little ones this opportunity for three years now during the month of July by organizing activities in the different context of performatives arts – theater, dance and music. The children are divided in two groups of 15 participants and are guided by the supervisors and the Sisters of the Congregation Aliança de Santa Maria.
The initiatives elaborated over the four days are always monitored by adults and take place in different areas of the shrine from the Prayer Area to Valinhos. The most popular activity is the outdoor activity where each child feels as a real protagonist and where he can have fun in a Christian and spiritually enriching context.
For the oldest, the dates will be announced in due time.
The Musical Creative Workshops are an initiative promoted by the Shrine of Fatima in the context of the Centennial of the Apparitions.
