Fatima Experience: the Inspiring Light of FatimaImmersive exhibition looks at the event of Fatima from the point of view of light
Between 1 and 6 August, the Shrine of Fatima will be present at the Youth Festival of World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023 with an immersive multimedia exhibition organized in the Sala do Risco of Páteo da Galé, in Terreiro do Paço, Lisbon. Designed primarily for the young people who will come to Portugal on the occasion of the world meeting with the Pope, but also open to the public, the exhibition presents the event of Fatima, its message and the experience in the Shrine in an immersive experience that serves as an invitation and stimulus for everyone to become a living proclaimer of the good news of evangelical hope, of which Fatima is a sign. In this exhibition, the visitor follows a narrative in six thematic frames that flood the space with light, and interact with some of the objects in the room, among which the image of the Pilgrim Virgin.
Starting with the Easter candle - a replica of the candle that is lit every night in the Little Chapel of the Apparitions - Fatima is told as a story of light, a symbol that alludes to the light of salvation, capable of transforming history, a light that shone in Cova da Iria through the hands of Mary. At the exit, visitors will take with them a symbolic object of the Fatima experience - a candle - which invites them to go on pilgrimage to the Shrine and to be a witness of this light to the world. |
