 Christmas is God offering Himself to mankind,Offering Himself to us and revealing to us His love. For the logic of love is to get closer; In the Child in the manger God gets closer to us: God with us. Before the Child Jesus we feel the echo Of that question put to the Little Shepherds by Our Lady: “Are you willing to offer yourselves to God?” She made of Her life a permanent offering to God Which made possible the miracle of Christmas. “Are you willing to offer yourselves to God?” The Little Shepherds replied: “yes, we are!” Like Mary, they made of their lives an offering to God. To celebrate Christmas is, with them and like them, To reply with a yes to the question of the Virgin Mother.
