After concluding his pastoral visit to all the parishes of his diocese, Bishop António Marto has found it opportune now to visit also the Shrine of Fatima, in order to manifest to it his pastoral solicitude. To use the words of Fr. Carlos Cabecinhas, Rector of the Shrine, “we are very glad to receive our bishop, for the diocesan bishop is our father in the faith, who, with his presence and word, points to us the way to go forward, to follow Christ”. During his pastoral visit to the Shrine of Fatima, Bishop António will attend several initiatives in the pastoral and catechetic realm as well as others more of a social nature and still others in which he will get acquainted with the day to day operation of the institution, either by visiting the different departments or even taking part in some working sessions. Program Tuesday April 16: 18h30 – Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary with chaplains, members of the Board of Directors of departments, the Mother Superior of the religious community residing at the Shrine, the Congregation of the Servants of Our Lady of Fatima, and the heads of the different departments of the Shrine. Wednesday April 17: 11h00 – Mass at the Basilica of Most Holy Trinity Thursday April 18: 9h00 – Mass at the Little Chapel of Apparitions with the presence of the Shrine’s employees Friday April 19: 9h00 – Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary with the presence of the Shrine’s employees Saturday April 20: 11h00 – Mass at the Basilica of Most Holy Trinity 21h30 – Rosary and Candlelight Procession at the Little Chapel/Prayer Area Sunday April 21: 11h00 – Outdoor Mass in the Prayer Area |
