On August 26, the official 15h00 Mass at the Shrine of Fatima will be celebrated in thanksgiving for the granting by the Holy See of the Title of Basilica to Most Holy Trinity Church.
The Mass will, of course, be celebrated at the Basilica of Most Holy Trinity Church and presided over by the Most Rev. António Marto, Bishop of Leiria-Fatima.
The Decree granting the title of Basilica to this temple dedicated on October 12, 2007, will be read at some point during the celebration of the Mass.
Decree ‘Leiriensis-Fatimensis’ is signed by Antonio Cardinal Cañizares Llovera, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and Discipline of the Sacraments and it is dated June 19, 2012.
