The Francisco and Jacinta Marto Foundation inaugurates, on the 4th April, the Casa das Candeias [‘House of Candles’], a museum small centre that evokes the life and spirituality of Francisco and Jacinta Marto.
The space, at the Foundation´s headquarters, in the Rua de S. Pedro, no. 9, in the Cova da Iria, Fatima, offers the visitor a reading of life journey of the two blessed, and of the synthesis that they, in their lives, made of the message of Fatima, and of the gift they represent to the Church, by exposing some of their personal belongings and also artistic representations that evoke them.
The iconographic symbolism of space invites visitors to make, along with the little shepherds, an interior journey which is a journey of holiness, as the beatification of Francisco and Jacinta clearly shows.
The Casa das Candeias [House of Candles] will be open every day from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00. Admission is free
